Person-Centred Counselling
Person-Centred Counselling
Person-Centred Counselling is gentle, non-directive and values the relationship between the client and counsellor. You will be accepted just as you are without judgment, and what you choose to bring to counselling will be truly heard with empathy and honesty in total confidence.
Life may feel extremely overwhelming
At times, life may feel extremely overwhelming with challenges such as anxiety, trauma, grief, depression, low self-esteem and stress to name but a few. It may be during these times that we do not know how to move forwards and it may feel difficult to ask for help or even find a safe space to talk. It can be a big decision to embark on a counselling journey, which is where talking to a qualified therapist can make a difference.
Counselling is a safe place
Counselling is a safe place where you can talk to someone who does not know you. This can make it easier because the counsellor has no emotional attachment to your life and will not judge you or tell you how you should be living. This is where I can help.
My way of working is influenced predominantly by the person-centred approach based on the values of acceptance, empathic understanding and genuiness.
